Nourah has been with Zamakhchary & Co for over five years, and has a broad practice in commercial advisory, litigation and regulatory work. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the College of Law and Political Sciences in King Saud University.
Nourah’s focus is advising on corporate and commercial matters including incorporation of companies (whether local or foreign-owned), drafting resolutions, undertakings, and memoranda of understanding, and reviewing and drafting bilingual commercial agreements.
She has previously been heavily involved in regulatory work, including developing and reviewing Arabic/English regulations drafted for the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA).
Her commercial law experience along with her Arabic language drafting skills makes her a core asset in legal research and drafting submissions for commercial litigation matters.
Ali AlMuquishi is an associate with Zamakhchary & Co. Prior to joining the firm, Ali worked as a Corporate Associate at KPMG Saudi, before which he was a Legal Advisor at Saudi Telecom Company.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic law from Imam bin Mohammad Saud University and his Master’s degree (LLM in International Commercial Law with Merit) from Westminster University in England. As part of his Master’s degree he wrote a comparative study on international commercial arbitration in the light of Shari’ah.
Given his firm foundation in corporate law matters, and his excellent English and Arabic language skills, Ali is involved in both commercial litigation and commercial advisory work.
His recent experience includes advising international investors in private and public companies, incorporating and restructuring companies, advising on merger and acquisition transactions, submitting client applications to SAGIA, the Ministry of Commerce and other governmental authorities and advising a GCC financial institution on obtaining CMA approval for the change of control of an authorised person.
Dr Saeed Baioumy is the Linguistic Editor and drafting reviewer at Zamakhchary & Co.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Dar ElAloom College, Cairo University, in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, 1991, an MA in the Synthetic and Semantic Properties of the Sentence of Judicial Rulings from Dar Elaloom College, Cairo University, 2007, and PhD in Law Language Text Structure, 2010.
Prior to joining Zamakhchary & Co, Dr. Saeed served as the Head of Language Editing Department at the State Council of Egypt, drafting consultant for UNOBS, member of the Legal Consultant Office at the Ministry of Social Solidarity. He has also published several books including Legal Language, Judicial Language, and Principles of Good Paraphrasing.
Dr Saeed’s role is to review all Arabic language court submissions and materials to ensure the correct use of precise legal language and semantics, for the development of the finest quality submissions from a linguistic perspective.
Ibrahim Tantawy is a Shari’ah researcher at Zamakhchary & Co. He holds a Master’s degree in Fiqh from Ain Shams University, Egypt, and a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, Cairo University, Egypt. He will shortly complete his PhD in Shari’ah at Ain Shams University.
Before joining Zamakhchary & Co, Ibrahim worked in the Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah and has published several research pieces on Fiqh matters.
Ibrahim acts as a core source of Shari’ah research and analysis to support the lawyers across the firm. Whether drafting legal submissions, framing arguments, or reviewing and drafting commercial agreements and contractual documents, we ensure that our documents are supported by legitimate Shari’ah principles at all times.
